Beautiful Hot springs Arkansas

I spent a year in the pinky toe of America
small and pointless
its kinda ugly
it smells pretty bad
you dont really know why it exists
but you cant really get rid on it because its part of you

i went back to that jolly old toe of a town
to watch my best friend graduate
and to meet up with my shawty
and whilst down there
i posted a status on my face book
and i quote "Daniel James Wayman is in beautiful Hot Springs Arkansas"
well one of my friends replied with this "Beautiful? Really Dan? Really? I can think of a lot of words to describe that place, beautiful isn't one of them...."
so in honor of that statement
i decided to prove you wrong
this one is for you Jessica

scranton was better than expected

Scranton
i didnt have much faith in it
but im glad it exceeded my expectations
i got some amazing pictures there
all in all i had an amazing weekend
good friends
relaxation
and photography
i couldn't ask for more

a year on an airplane

We flew over the Cascades
We were forced to behave while we sat
In rows like children.
I crossed some standard state lines
I finally found myself so far away from home
And even though New England intrigued us and thrilled us,
Our bones were cold as stick and stones.

We flew over the Cascades
Just to find ourselves in storms we've never known
The winds were like a beast with wings and yes
Everything was blown so far away
And I fell down, I failed to cut its neck.

Even after hours of waiting
There was no telling when the storm would find its way
The lands we tried to memorize
Were no longer wrapped in tepid shades of red
And through the night the storm held me down
And bit my neck and said it'd be okay
I stared into the fury
And the beauty of its overwhelming strength

The winds were like a beast with wings and yes
Everything was blown so far away
And I fell down, I failed to cut its neck

a year on an airplane by Daphne loves derby

i took these pictures
on the way to Texas
the moon above me and the man made stars below
beauty above and below

the bridge

i love this bridge
ive taken my two closest friends
and i don't plan on that being the last time i go up there

this was at ten at night
you cant really tell cause i left the shutter open so long
but it was pitch black out

at some point we all break down

things happen
things that change our lives
i think Mat Kearney said it best
"i guess were all one phone call
from our knees"

She got the call today
One out of the gray
And when the smoke cleared
It took her breath away
She said she didn't believe
It could happen to me
I guess we're all one phone call
from our knees
We're gonna get there soon

If every building falls
And all the stars fade
We'll still be singing this song
The one they can't take away
I'm gonna get there soon
She's gonna be there too
Cryin' in her room
Prayin' Lord come through
We're gonna get there soon

this is an old ford falcon
used for parts
parked in the back yard of my friends house
i was out taking pictures of fruit trees
and found this more interesting
