a break in the clouds

the clouds
how they band and break
make shapes and fade away
the beauty we miss in our daily life
is more than tragic

the lost and abandoned

i found this abandoned
service station
a few weeks back

i was walking in the woods
and noticed it from a far off
and walked about a mile
through thicket and a river
but when i finally reached my destination
it was too dark to take pics
without a flash
and i couldnt pass it up'
so
not my best work but fun none the less

i dont even know if we are still doing this stuff
but i love this random cow trailer i saw so ill post up
its probably my favorite residential bovine structure

well..... its complicated

i never thought that the term

"its complicated"
would mean so much
or could ever be taken in a good light
but the day i took these pictures
it officially became complicated
and i don't think i could be happier

i faced a fear

im always afraid to stop and invade someone elses property
for the sake of my photography
but my hatred for the seemingly ever present "could have been shot"
has grown stronger than my fear could ever be

i feel as tho today is a day of new starts
i know it sounds corny (prolly cause it is)
but with spring around the bend
i see new life springing out of every crevasse
amidst the long dead and shattered stalks of corn
the green begins to show its face

but thats kinda how we work isnt it
when one thing dies
life springs forth from its absence
it gives me hope
that when things in our lives
fall away or fade
that something new will replace it

not always better
but at times exceeding what we expected
so i will embrace this new found philosophy
i will try to realize that new life
can come from what we left as dead

simply spring

its simple ..... its spring
